HAZARDS OF NEWPORT

Balboa Island ferry crosses from Balboa Island to Balboa Pennisula. It has right of way- do not cut any corners to the entrance of Marina Sailing as there are shallow areas on the corners where one could ground. There are pillings that are left over from dredging that are unlit near the marina. Bridges are all too low to go under. South of Newport along the coast there are reefs and rocks.
